What is Microsoft Office Specialist Certification?

 


Microsoft Office Specialist Certification is the global standard of certification recognising a high level of proficiency in Office desktop computing skills. It is the only Office certification that is recognised and endorsed by Microsoft and employers worldwide and ensures that the skills you have acquired through training reach the global benchmark in certification recognised by Microsoft.
Microsoft Office Specialist has been created to help customers, employees and employment seekers to prove with confidence that they have achieved a high level of proficiency in using Office and which is endorsed by Microsoft.


There are three levels of certification in Office skills available:

Core: High proficiency in Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Access; or Outlook
Expert: Advanced skills in Word or Excel
Master: Advanced skills in all five applications - Word (Expert); Excel (Expert); PowerPoint; Outlook; and Access

  • your ability to use their advanced features; and
  • your ability to integrate the Office applications with other software applications.

Microsoft Office Specialist exams are developed and validated by industry experts and are available from ATI-Mirage.



About the exams
The Office Specialist exams allow a practical demonstration on a computer of your Office skills using an actual document to perform a series of tasks that demonstrate your desktop computing skills. They are used to accurately determine your level of proficiency on your chosen Office application. Office Specialist exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise by evaluating your overall comprehension of Office or Microsoft Project programs, your ability to use their advanced features, and your ability to integrate the Office programs with other software programs.
